Boer/Nubian crosses?

I'm just wondering what the benefit of the boer/nubian crosses would be.

I was thinking I'd like a nubian for milk but the pics of the boer/nubian crosses are so cute. Do people cross them to have both milk & meat?

Sorry ahead of time for asking such a dumb question.

Thanks in advance!
Ashley

A meaty, large framed goat that produces enough milk for triplets...
P.S. if your looking for any Nubian/Boer bucks or wethers than I have 12 boys for sale.
I live in Monterey @ exit 300....Just PM me if interested.

Any Boer dairy cross bred back to a Boer buck will produce nice meaty kids with lots of milk to raise them fast. For a meat operation I highly reccomend dairy/Boer crosses.
I have a friend who needs to sell her 10 month old Boer/Nubian doeling if anyone is interested. I've seen pictures and she looks quite nice.

Not all boer/dairy crosses produce tons of milk. I've had it go either way. I have an alpine/boer cross who very much takes after her boer side, starting to dry off naturally not long after she weans her kids. I have another (her half sister) alpine/boer cross that milks strong for 10 months. For meat production though, my dairy/boer crosses (alpines and nubians) make weight faster than my pb boer kids. The laboers are a little slower, but nice kids too. I especially like a lamancha boer cross, but tire of the ear questions..

They show part of them is so good! I will link a picture of Anna a 50% Nubian 50% Boer she is so cute! she is very strong in the dairy shows! She has been showed and placed very high in them. They good thing is they get the meatyness and they get good strong udders and feet. (She isn't mine yet! )

Heres the link! She is the first picture on the left. and go to the bottom she is i think 3 up!

She has been bred with nubians and was from a nubian doe Tara (also on the page) but was bred by Chance a boer because she was the only nubian she had and was just a pet.
