Trips!

My doe Boston, a mini doe, just kidded today around 10:30. When I checked her this morning at 7:00, her ligaments were gone, so I got the baby box! She had a buckling, a doe, and then another buckling. I'll be bottlefeeding two of them, but for the time being they are on mommy getting that essential colostrum. I'll have to choose which of the bucklings I want to bottle raise... One buckling and the doeling will be bottle fed. mommy's doing a great job, though I took all three (one and two at a time) for some drying time under the heat lamp. The bucklings aren't nearly as active as the little doeling, who is motoring around top speed. They've all gotten drinks, bose, iodine (which got everywhere, btw)

They are all white caramels with black trim, though the two bucks look like they might have brown trim, and the doeling's trim is lighter than the other two. One of the bucklings may be a light caramel, but I'll decide that after time.

It's funny, the buck she was obviously bred to (he's a white caramel with black trim) I was gonna sell because he didn't seem to sexually motivated. Maybe I'll have to keep him just a bit longer, huh? lol

The doeling will be staying here... The two bucklings will probably be sold.

Pics to come later tonight, when I'm not so pooped!

(oh, and help me out with irish names? Blarney, pot 'o gold? LOL)

All four of them are doing great... And Heidi probably is out sitting with Peaches and Ears, staring at them, hehe. Now I just gotta email her pictures of 'em!
