Thumbs up 2 Kids 2 Different Sires 1 doe???

cna this happen? My friends Alpine (100% not 1 little mix breed) had 2 kids (bucklings) 1 looks like an alpine becuase of his ears. and the other looks like a nubian.
She went away, and the care person bred her to the nubian buck She thought she did it wrong so called, and was told to put her in with the Alpine down the road. So she kids and is possible to have 1 mother and 2 bucks??? I called my vet and she said she has seen it in a cow (she had twins 1 jeresy and 1 holstien and mother was holstien ) and she also said it happens in dogs all the time. She is bred by 3 different breeds and has 3 different types of puppies! just thought I would ask if it has ever happened to any one else.

Absolutely. It has happened several times here with buck breakouts. Had an Alpine doe kid last week. One Alpine and one Lamancha buckling. I saw both bucks breed her 5 months ago. The Lamancha did the deed 5 seconds before I could reach them. But since they will both be wethers....no biggie.

Ok, thanks it is good to know it happens all the time! she may keep the alpine and sell as a breeder, but the Nubian cross is off to the meat market soon.

I have a doe due in about a week That may be like this... Accidental breeding from way back in october when the bucks broke thier gate. I'll be able to tell right after the kids are born who thier daddy is... but untill then it's anyone's guess!
