Ohioans
Looks like there are a number of us from Ohio.
What part of the state are you all from and what do you raise?
I'm Roseanna. Located in SE Ohio (just off of I-70...40 minutes from Wheeling, WV). I have a very hodge podge group of goats. Our bucks are Boer (and BoerX) and Nubian though. We have over 50+ head of breeding stock.

I am from Zanesville, Ohio. I live about 45 minutes from Wheeling. We just started raising Boer goats and have 31(counting the babies). We have several registered and a few that are not. Our billy originally came from another member from this board. He is the sweetest billy that I have seen.

I'm right between dosthouhavemilk and mmurrey in Cambridge. (we should meet for lunch!) We have 22 Boer and Boer X (and a Nubian) goats with 6 more to kid. One of those 22 is a baby doe born a little early (Miracle - it'll be a miracle if she lives).
I want SO MUCH to have a little group of Nigerian Dwarf goats!!

I live by Toledo a small town called Millbury. I just have two nubians. Sandy and Mandy. SOmeday i would like to breed them but with all the problems I have read about I think maybe I will just buy a couple more some day. I would hate to lose Sandy or Mandy. They are my pets. I don't think they know they are goats. I think they think they are dogs.

I live down in Little Ole Meigs County Ohio. Little town called Racine. I sold most of my goats and am just getting started back in them. I have a fullblood boer buck, a alpine doe (who is due any second) and 1 pygmy doe. And I am getting ready to go to Jackson, Ohio this weekend to look at some boer x savannah does.

I live not too far from celadon, in a town called Arlington, which is just outside of Findlay. I have mostly Boers, some fullbloods, some percentage, and some grade. I also have one fainter, and one pygmy doe.

I'm near both Celadon and Loda Farm, in Arcadia, right outside of Findlay. I don't have any goats yet, but am planning to get either fainters or pygmys when it's economically feasible. I enjoy reading and learning here on the HT message board.

Oldntimes,
We're in Ashtabula County too! We've only been here a short while and don't have goats yet, just chickens. I'm just hanging out here to learn as much as I can.

I used to travel through Racine quite a bit years ago before RT 33 came along. I had a boyfriend in Ravenswood, WV .
I'm from Granville, OH and will hopefully be starting my "goat collection" this month courtesy of Roseanna

We are up in Northwest part of the state about 45 min west of Toledo. Raise heiz 57 boer meat goats, ( moving to boer with each generation ), polled herefords, and have several odds and end animals. Always have a goat or two to trade or sell. I would like to move into more beef calves and eventually a couple of horses. If you have heifer calves for sale at a good price, drop me a post...ill be looking to buy this spring.

Nice to meet fellow Ohioan goat homesteaders!
We are about 15 miles SE of Lancaster, Ohio. See some of our hill farm at www.bchboergoats.homestead.com We've been raising goats for awhile, but certainly learn new things about them every year.
May moons ago, DH and I grew up on cattle farms, plus had 4-H hogs. The goats fit our property here well.
We will have 15-20 Boer does of all ages for sale in April. Young does will kid out later in spring - a great opportunity to get a nice, reasonably price full-blood buck if you want to keep one around long enough to reach breeding size/age.

I don't have my goats yet, but I want to get a couple of milking Nubian does early summer. Anyone have any in the NE Ohio area that'll be ready to sell in a couple of months?
