A word for all you new goat parents

It's awfully rude of you to post threads about all your cute baby goats with no pictures. How am I supposed to be able to convince my wife we NEED goats at our new house in the country when I can't show her pictures of all these little baby goats?

(hi, my name's Fred, and I'm a lurker)

Here's a pic of my babies sleeping on the living room floor in their diapers. Mine weren't born here, I got them as bottle babies, but it may convince your wife they're adorable. I know they've convinced me.

I wish you WOULDN'T post pictures like that - I had a real heart lurch for baby goats then and we won't be able to have any until at least next year when we can afford to finish the fencing. Seriously, they are SO adorable!

Thanks for the pictures, guys. My wife is slowly coming around, I think. We're at the point where she's saying that if we can get a couple of pygmy goats with the normal size ones, she might be amenable to the idea.

trying again to post my bottle baby...this is right after her tattooing and disbudding. You could get a goat and tell her it's an Easter egg.

Welcome to the board Fred. Good Luck getting the wife to get goats. Tell her they are the best little things you could have. They are like Potato Chip. You can not stop at one, or two or three ...

Thanks guys for the pictures. We didn't breed our doe last fall--she's got a case of lameitis that we've been fighting FOREVER, and I didn't think she should have that extra weight.

I'm missing having babies at our place. I miss the delivery and I've missed watching little ones. But, it's probably a good thing, as we've had unseasonably cold weather and the goats couldn't leave their barn until 2 days ago--too much snow. Kidding would have been so stressful. But I still miss havnig babies, so thanks all for sharing yours!

Jen, the goatie in the bottom picture looks like she's wearing lipstick.

They are all so cute.

My Saanan doe Sophie just kidded out boy/girl twins about an hour ago. Fat and sassy and already looking for the groceries. I'll post pictures as soon as she gets them all dried off and fluffy. Silly girl had them in my violet patch.

How 'bout Blizzard and Squall? They're both white as snow and gorgeous!
(I love the spotted doe too!)

Ozark Jewel -

What is the bucket thing in the picture of all your kids? Is that a feeder of some type? Thanks!
