I'ver never used it and never had occasion to use it. Unless there is some basis for concern in the pregnancy, I wouldn't worry about it.

I do use it. I use cal-drench, made by the same makers as nutri-drench, "goats prefer" (they don't, they gag), 2 oz when they lose their ligaments and 2 oz post kidding. Many people use nutri drench, which is practically the same thing, minus the calcium, I just figure it can't hurt, and it doesn't. I worm right after kidding too, and boost with a b-12 sub q.

Many people do this as a precautionary to milk fever.
You can use the calcium drench like DocM does.
Some people use CMPK... there are many pastes out there that work (they are intended for dairy cattle but work for goats as well.)
I use MFO solution that I can get at Jeffers Livestock Supply.

You can do the same thing to prevent ketosis.
There are many keto gels and pastes out there. I use Ammino acid solution (from Jeffers) and goats prefer power punch.

Both are GREAT as precautionaries but the main prevenative should be proper diet and exercise.
