How long do you leave your billy in for?

Hello All,
How long do you leave your billy in for? My girls have never been breed and out side of there sires have never been around another billy before. So i thought i would ask and see what you thought. I don't own the billy. He is on loan to me for as long as i need him (there no longer showing him).
Any info on this would be great. thanks so much.

60 days would insure they all had a chance to cycle at least 3 times

Does it take 60 days in most cases? Or is this to try and insure that the breeding takes?

Most likely they were bred the first time, though some don't 'take'. Personally, I hand breed all my goats so I know exactly when they're due and I can plan on being there for them when they kid.

Its to make sure they all get a few tries in case they dont take on the first one. Sometimes it only takes a few minutes LOL.

If its no big deal and he is nice to the girls leave him in longer. This time of year it is likely to miss a heat. My buck is in with my girls and they are due in May. If he tried to be fresh they would kick his butt !
