Question Bottle-Feeding ????

I have a baby Nubian that I am bottle-feeding. She is 5 days old now, and I have her on whole cows milk. She is turning into a little PIGLET! LOL Approximately how much should I be feeding her? I am feeding her 3 x a day, about 10 oz. She acts ravenous when she's done, though. I don't want to overfeed her. Am I feeding her the correct amount? Should add another feeding time?

We feed ours like that, but at now start adding an ounce or two every couple of days. We get ours up to about 15oz then go to 2 x a day.

Hi. We have an Alpine buckling about 2 weeks old. When we got him, he was taking about 16 oz in the am, 10 oz at lunch and 16 oz at bedtime. He now gets 20 oz morning and evening and his 10 oz snack at lunch. The breeder we got him from said he would do well on 20 oz am and pm but he still seems hungry at lunch (and who can blame him LOL). He is doing fine with it - no scours due to over feeding and is growing well. He is just begining to nibble grain and drink water out of a bucket.

I like to get our Nubian kids up to 40 oz by 2 weeks of age, in four feedings. Then I usually adjust them to 48 oz in three feedings by the time they are three weeks of age. I leave them on this until about 2 1/2 - 3 months of age, then drop the afternoon feeding, so they're at 32 oz, two feedings a day. And then depending on weight wean them in another 2 - 3 weeks time.

Make feedings changes slowly, I add an oz a feeding for a day (i.e. 10 a feeding today, 11 a feeding tomorrow), and as long as the kids eat it well, add another oz the next and so on, until they are where I want them. If they have any trouble finishing a bottle, or are less 'hungry' seeming, then I'll wait another day or two before adding any more.
