Banana Peels

My goats LOVE banana peels; does anyone know if they are good for goats? My family is really fond of them too, so we end up with a lot of peels.

I don't know if there is a real benefit to eating them, but my goats love them also!! Besides animal crackers, it is their favorite "treat"!

Mine also love them. I actually feed a whole banana to each goat. They go nuts for them

nothing against banana peels or orange peels but make sure you have them washed with warm soapy water first because of the pesticides on those fruits.
i do not feed this to my goats.
i have one doe that loves oranges and she get them peeled.

If you buy organically grown fruits you dont have to worry so much about the chemicals. I feed mine peels of avocado as well as bananas and oranges etc

How about cantalope? One of my goats literally went nuts whenever she ate them. She would run back and forth at top speed, and yell really loud. She's not allowed them anymore. They've never had bananas, before, but I think I'll try that!

I do not know about banana peels but my girls love apples and green grapes. I think goats just love to eat!

Banana is good for a quick cure for scours in young kids. This also works for the older does. An old farmer told me about it and it does work.
