Triplets!

Mermaid had triplets early this morning. All bucks. It was so cold, though, that I lost one of them before I found them. The other two are with me at work. One is a bit weak, but coming along; the other a feisty little fella!

Now there is a good job and an understanding boss!

Very sorry to hear about the one poor little guy. Hope the weak one perks up and gets as strong as his brother.

Is Mermaid your only one kidding this spring?

Oh dear, Ruth. So sorry your doe had to pick the COLDEST night we have had lately! I was running around collecting muscovy ducks and putting them all in the barn last night- we have lost a few to frozen feet in this cold. Looks like we have a break coming finally though!

Good luck with the remaining two! and remember to post pix!

Mermaid's the first to kid this spring. I have several more to go. The weak kid is making me nervous. His brother is now taking the bottle beautifully and begging for more. I've not been able to get the weaker one to nurse, but I have been giving him nutridrench a few times this morning. Yeah, I do have a couple of understanding bosses... they know it's either bring the kids to work, or stay home all day. At least I get some work done this way.

Thanks guys. Right now, the sole survivor is stumbling around my office, exploring and getting his legs to stay under him properly.
