4 day old bottle baby

I've got a 4 day old bottle baby with hard poo, which I know is not normal. Is there something I can add to her bottle that will act as a stool softner, but not mess up her system?

This is the first kid we've ever had to bring into the house and I never realized how much they pee, that functions just fine, but I'm concerned with very few bowel movements and the few that she's had in the last two days are hard. She's on whole cow's milk.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Add some karo syrup.

Yep, I thought about Karo syrup, because that's what the peditrician had me give my DD when she was a a baby. Don't have any now(DD is 18), so guess I'll have to head to the grocery store tomorrow.

We use a little karo syrup.

3 tablespoons of karo per gallon of whole cows milk is recomended and is what i am doing with my 4 day old bottle baby who is constipated. hasnt helped much yet but am holding out hope. hard poop is better than the runs but it sure would be nice to be normal.
