Question Sprouts for goats?

I have been given literally thousands of pounds of wheat, Rye, peas, lentils etc.

I do not give the goats a lot of grains at all....but if I sprouted some could give them to the goats in small amounts?

I have given my goats sprouts and they did fine :baby04: I mostly sprouted oats b/c they are fast but have sprouted things like sunflowers seed and the like. I think anything they can have regularly as grain would be even better for them sprouted. I only have 5 goats at the moment but I used a salad spinner to grow sprouts in and rinse ans spin well, just to be sure they are clean and dry so you don't get any mold.

Great Idea! Thank you.

Nicole (who rinses religiously every 8 hours lol.)

My nigies turn up their noses at sprouts; my chickens love them, though.

Yeah, since I have chickens, I figured they would eat whatever the goats will not.
