I did not know goats could be so big!

Went to a market that's really popular around here... guy had a pen of goats from a sale barn, and one huge buck with backward curving horns caught my eye. He must have been four feet at the withers, was even bigger than the pony in the corral next to him. Any idea what he could have been? Was solid white.

Sounds like a Saanen. They are all white, and they are the breed of dairy goat that gets the biggest I think.

That's what I thought, but the only saanens I've seen are tiny well-behaved does or young wethers... ths boy came as a bit of a shock to say the least!

Of course, I got a bit of a giggle at the woman in high heels (in the muddy flea market?) petting his "pretty gold beard..."
I stopped her as she tried to get her son to pet him, sheesh.
