Caution - LGD On Duty

Doing what Anatolians do best. He is hard to see. Its my 6 month old pup with her goats. Look by the gate for the dog.

Don't you just love how they 'disappear' and melt into the scenery? It's like they are wearing camoflauge (sp?). I can't believe how a 150 lb dog can be so inconspicuous - I've tried to explain to my friends and they never believe me until they see ours make himself 'blend'.

I also love their innate ability to find exactly the 'right spot' to be in!

Beautiful fuzzy little guys/gals. I have one purebred Anatolian female that has much longer and fuzzier fur than any of her littermates. Here we have too many sticker burrs to deal with longer hair. Shorter slick coats fair much better without so much cutting of the burrs from their coats.

Yeah, here is my Pyr female, Jill, with her herd. This was two years ago right after she came home. She is due any minute now with her own pups.
