On Doe Duty

gabby has lost her ligaments and is puffy and pinkish. We thought she would be 143 days on Tuesday but I think the breeder/friend could be mistaken. She is a big as she can get without popping and hanging low. Have her in the stall under camera...tick, tick tick...

I think you may be right. last year she lost her ligaments, I put her in the kidding pen and she nothing. later on I came back, she had one thin string of goop, I went to call a friend and before I got to the phone at the other end of the barn my boarders were yelling it's here! She was not very big and had a single, this year she is shall we say abundantly blessed???? I am sure ( watch me be proven wrong) that she has at least three in there.

Saunter into the barn, take a look around, yawn, and announce in a loud voice that your'e "going to bed". She'll probably kid in the next 15 minutes.

Do you have a baby monitor? I can sleep through the camera, but the new kids crying wakes me up every time. heh.

Baby monitor is a great idea. No kids yet, Mom is starting a lot of faraway stares and finally has a little goop starting. I am hoping she will be done before I need to go to the Mission at 4. Of course, just of that she will wait til 3:59 to start delivering. I know they can do this on their own but I have had kids stuck and had to be pulled before and am afraid if I am not here that will happen to Gabby, so I keep watch. No complaints, we all do what we must.
I really like the baby monitor idea, I am going to see if I can pick one up this summer at the rummage sales or at the thrift shop.
Well, Dh tells me Gabby has not moved from her stare for a over five minutes so i had better check her or the camera.
