Is there anything better????

I just went out with the children to do the animal chores. The butt thread also had me wondering about mine, so I figured I would go out and check.

While my son filled up water, I took a seat out there and two of my goats (the Buck and the youngest doe) came up for their lovin. The buck gently pawed at me until I thoroughly loved on him, and the doe stayed there taking it all in as well. It was heaven Of course I smell like the buck now LOL but it is always worth it to get so much unconditional love from my babies. I just am not sure there is anything better.

I would not trade my goats for anything in the world.

I did the very same thing this morning. Only it's my neighbors goats. I was worried about them since it was 24 degrees this am. I went over to check, and they were on the sunny side of the barn... He as 65 goats, all wild, but I have been going over there 3 or 4 times a week and just sitting. I now have 4 bucks, a couple of does, and lots of babies coming to me for loving, petting and a little bit of goat feed by hand. He promised me a couple of doelings, and I am having a very hard time choosing just 2... I smell bucky, as well. I dont mind. I have so much fun with them. I just have to shower before my DH comes home. LOL

I tuck mine into bed at night . When I go out to the barn to turn off the lights for the hens, I make sure every goat gets a pat or a cuddle. Old Beauty usually has some goat kisses for me.

Last night, I was kneeling down, feeling Bronwyn's sides to see if the babies were moving, and little Sadie kept trying to jump up onto my shoulder - I guess she's going to be a cat when she grows up. She's a Nigerian BTW.

I went over to the neighbor's pasture this evening.. Sat down, and half the herd came over for their treats. Many ate out of my hand. And the babies,,Oh the babies.. about 10 of them came up to nibble, and I was finally able to touch and pet them. I was in Goat Heaven! Completely surrounded by babies and mommas, some even trying to nibble my coat, or hair, sniff my face... I had a blast! Just remember, 2 weeks ago these goats were completely wild and would run if anyone came within 1/4 mile of them!

I couldn't sit with my goats. I'd have at least a dozen 150 lb "babies" in my lap. I just stand and let them rub on me.
