Smile First Snow of 2007

I wanted to share some photos of my goats in our first snow of 2007..

Here is how it looked at first while it was snowing and boy was this a wet snow. It made our roads very slick and we had lots of wrecks. This wasn't even a big snow yet..

Too cute! Gidget is adorable, and I really am not a nubian fan, but that multi colored spotted one sure is neat!

Hey, we must have shared that same snowcloud! We got our first accumulation of the season, finally. This is the weirdest winter I have ever seen.
Great pics BTW, I love the one, "Don't you dare take my picture".

Kim I live over the ky mountains close to Va, Tn and Ky line and boy when that snow came across from ky there was times I couldn't even see my neighbor house due to being so white. How much snow did you all get over there? We had gotten here almost 31/2 inches before it all was over and man was it a slick snow.

The photo of my 50% Boer 50% Nubian Doe honey didn't much care for the snow. After I took her photo she went straight back to the hoophouse where it was warmer..

Cool

The multi colored spotted one is Cimmonstick he loves to get out in snow to show off but now Gidget which is my Lamacha is only had to come out for a few mins to check things out and back in she went. My other goats I have wouldn't dare stick a toe out yesterday in the snow.

I love the spots!! Our Lamancha is pretty finicky about getting out in weather too. She will stick her head out look around and then duck back in and curl up in the straw for her mid winter nap.

mine are fair weather goats too. God forbid they should get damp! Love your goats and the pics, don't you love the way snow makes everything look so fresh. Gidget, what a cute name!

We may have gotten 2" but it melted off pretty quick yesterday. Last night we got about another inch. At least it feels more like winter now! Until tomorrow when it goes back up to 50.

How the heck do you get 'em to go outside in the snow? My girls just give me dirty looks like the snow is my fault.

Gidgit it so cute! LOL......we where calling for snow overnight but NO SNOW . Lol which might be a good thing . It has been so warm around here that some of the girls are LOOSING their winter coats .....what they don't relize is that it is only January . Lol today I bet they are cold due to the fact that it is only 36 degrees instead of a nice 45-50 degrees that it has been normally.

I tell you Allwolf I hate to see how cold it will get when kidding starts up .
