I'm driving to the KY Ohio border to pick up some nubian doelings the last week of march... Could bring the girls (and by then kids LOL) with me would make the drive a lot shorter for ya. They are both really nice girls. Sired by the same sire. He is mostly Lake Country & Two-Cedars. Pixie's mom is out of a Lake Country buck and a Lake Country Doe. Sprite's mom was sired by the same Lake Country buck as Pixie's mom, but her mother is mostly Saanendoah. (and that is the entire wealth of my saanen bloodline knowledge LOL) I bought them with the plan of adding snubians for milk sales and soap making. Plans changed, some too nice to pass on nubian does became available and I just don't need the saanens now. I'm really hoping to find someone that will love them, milk them and enjoy them. I can't stand the idea of taking them to the auction.

That is still very far for me-I need to add goats soon as I am testing for milk sales and will have to test each that comes in after one by one addding to costs.
I would love a few more saanens and they are due just when I could use more early milk.
What Nubians are you getting- I have a few nubians--smile

The little ones I'm adding to my herd farmily, are heavy on the old cadilliac herd lines and some cold comfort. Two are out of a Greystone doe (out of PA) I'm adding them all for milk. My own girls on the most part have decent to nice udders. (I would never be opposed to stronger attachments. Give me a udder that's glued on tight LOL) and produce a acceptable amount, but I feel like we could do with a bit more *will to milk* I'm really pleased with most of the heads and ears (nice long with a little flip tip end that makes my heart got pitter-patter) I'm getting. Longer necks that blend smoothly would also be nice. I think everyone has their own mental image of the perfect doe. Someday I hope to be lucky enough to breed one that's perfect in my eyes. It's a long, slow journey that I'm looking forward to.
