doe heat and discharge

I have a 2 year old doe that kidded in Feb. I have had her since September. She came from a nice, well-respected breeder. And she has not had any problems here. Anyway, it seems she almost always has vulvular discharge (and like said, she is such a nice girl ). I bred her 22 days ago. I saw extra mucous on days 19, 20..even today. But she never responded to a buck rag. I have never had a doe with such a messy rear. What does this mean? I hope it's not an infection or anything. But she is so healthy and she's been that way for all the months that I had her.

Any thoughts? Do you think she settled?

Thanks!
Jennifer

My does don't respond to a buck rag. Well, other than to turn away and give me a look that says "get that thing out of my face". Maybe it's because they can smell the boys out back all the time, I don't know. My own experience is that my does who are being kept dry, have had increasingly "frantic" heats this late in the cycle, lots of mucous and acting up. (hopefully they'll stop now, being January). I would expose her to the buck again.

Okay, two more things I am milking her once a day. And she responded to the goat rag 3 weeks ago....

I am not taking her back to the buck. We have a trip planned in the middle of June. I would hate to leave so close to kidding time. RATS!
