Mature Nanny talking like a Buck!!

Ack! My 2 yr old Nanny, Cayenne, is running around mounting her yearling son (wether) and speaking in Buck-ish! (the alien gobbledy----- turkey-slobber speak!). I know she's in heat, but goobering and blubbering like a buck?? Never seen her do THAT before.... normal or hormone imbalance??

It's normal. My does will mount each other when they are in heat. It is hormonal, but normal. It's only a problem if you have bred your doe and she doesn't take and continues to cycle and act bucky despite repeated breedings.

Heck, having bucks is entertaining. "What is your buck DOING?" And you have to make up something quick, because the truth is practically pornographic.

I had my little one tell everyone on the bus the behavior of bucks during breeding season It's not a big deal to her as she knows nothing different but imagine the military kids !

The little boys who get in trouble for not lifting the seat or peeing in the yard must have thought ........Mom has nothing to complain about when I tell her this !!!

My herd queen, even when she isn't in heat, will bend in half like the bucks do while peeing on their faces and will toss her head around! Though she does it more often while in heat. I think it's partially a dominance thing when she's not. And no, she isn't a hermaphrodite, she's had 6 kids in the past two years, lol. A couple of my other does act like bucks or at least partially like bucks, too, when they're in heat.
