Question Rice Bran?

I just drove past our feed store "sale" sign. It was advertising rice bran as a monthly special which got me thinking. When my geriatric mare, bless her soul, was near the end, the high fat in rice bran (its 15%) really helped keep the weight on her. I mixed it with water and made a sludgy rice bran/beet pulp smoothie for her. I am wondering if that might be something I could feed the goatios for cheap nutrition. Anyone out there have thoughts on that?

I add it to the mix for my old horse, and for my milking does (and any other goaties I think need more finish on them).

Be careful with anything that will expand in a goat's gut.
