Sore On Bucklings???????

I was trimming hooves the other day and noticed that my 6 month old pygmy buckling has a white scabby looking sore about the size of a nickel on his.......umm???? I don't know the proper word for what I am trying to say, so I'm just going to throw this out there, balls. I have been putting A&D ointment on it. Does anyone know what this maybe and if the A&D ointment is okay or is there something else I should be using?
Thanks in advance,
Terry

If you could post a pic that would help but my first thought would be a fungus of some sort. You can get an antifungal spray in the horse section of a feed store. Try putting that on it every day till it clears.

his.......umm????
I think the word you're looking for is "scrotum".

It does sound like a fungus - keep an eye on it in case it starts spreading. Tea tree oil works well for things like that.
