Will heat make them mean?

My little toggenburg is kinda mean to the other goat, especially when I'm out there. She seems jealous of me. If the other goat tries to come up, she may lay into her and makes little grunts of disapproval as she does. The other goat (nubian) is bigger, and just kinda walks off and doesn't seem to care too much. Kinda just thinks she's a pest I guess. The little tog had been bred before I got her, but he said that the others knocked the kids out of her when he had to put them in a smaller pen so it would be easier for his wife to feed them. I noticed mucus on her hind end yesterday, and I'm wondering if the heat could be making her mean?

I have a couple does that do the same thing. It is like they are saying "that is MY mommy". If they are in heat, I notice they are a little roughter to the other goats but nice as ever to me.

Ever notice how all 27 does in your barn will decide to go into heat at the same time? That'll drive anyone nuts. Especially the bucks.

Some of my does tend to butt each other when they are in heat or after they have been in with the buck. Razzle was in with the buck for 6 days until I observed her in heat and bred. I put her back with her doe buddies today and when I went out later, her head was bloody from head butting with another doe.
