I just bought 5 lbs as a "what the heck" addition to feed. Living here in liver fluke/coccidiosis heaven, having something else in the arsenal is a help. I have heard that it helps a lot, doesn't do diddly, etc. I am going to do fecals, use it for 6 weeks, then re-fecal and see if there is ANY benefit. If not, then the remaining diatomaceous earth will go into fly larvae prevention under rabbit cages and on pasture(what little we have) next spring.

I have used it on my horses - definately helped on the fly population, didn't do fecals, and don't live in a parasite haven, so couldn't tell you on the worms. Coats were shiny, tho'. I bought it in 50lb sacks from the feed store - $23 for food grade.

I started it mixed with loose minerals for my sheep (for worms) and when we got goats they got it too. Later I read some stuff saying it doesn't do squat for worms so I quit using it and suddenly the flies got BAD. Started them back on it and the fly problem was reduced greatly again within a couple weeks and no, it wasn't the weather. IMO the jury's still out on whether it helps with worms or not, but it definitely made a difference in the fly population around here when fed to the animals. It makes their poo less hospitable to the maggots.

I got mine from Dirt Works.

Be careful, breathing even the food grade is bad for your lungs, and for your animals' lungs.

Check with your local feed stores and see if they carry it or may can order it. I'm going to get some for my birds I have plus I have goats.

Good Luck.

I found a store on e-bay that sells it too. Keep it in your feed to reduce the bug population.
