Thumbs up Up-Date On Emily

A long while back my little gal Emily was down with Selenium Deficiency. I had shared some photos of how bad she was looking to getting better. I now wanted to share more photos of her with you all. My little Emily has came a long ways to get better. Here is part of her story also.

Here is the photos of how bad she looked at first and I took photos of her as she was getting better and better. Please excuse the mess in the floor but at first she couldn't get up to eat on her own so had hay in floor and her food in a bowl alone with giving her water in a bowl every so often and other stuff in a bottle..

Emily on Day 1

After you see the first keep going to the next ones of her. You will see how she is getting better. I know of other people would just give up on her and either kill her or just let her die but not me. I have worked and worked with her now look at her!! Today she is in the dinning room on her old towel chewing her cud and enjoying watching ever move I make.. We love her so much and so far seems to be a heck of a tough gal.. Emily stayed in the dinning room from Oct 23 to Nov 5 and then we put her back out in the barn. She was ready to go back. I tried to take photos of her everyday but it was hard to do so I wanted to share her updated photos now.

As I have always stated my goats is my life. You give them TLC they will return it also. We are so proud of her.

Smile

She was treated with 2cc of Bo-Se on the first day and the third day I gave her another round of Bo-Se also. Alone with giving her Goat Nutri-Drench 3 times a day but the first 3 days I gave it to her 4 times a day in a bottle alone with some powerade. I also gave her some cows milk for 2 days. She was also given hay free of choice, goat minerals, fresh water, goat sweet feed alone with plenty of calf manna. She also stayed in the house in the dinning area until she was able to go out to the barn again but while she was sick like this I would take her out on warm days and get her some fresh green leaves off a tree if there where any. Help her walk some and just gave her plenty TLC until she got better. One thing when she got better and wanted to go back to the barn she would let you know by standing at the window and yelling at the others. So I finally got brave enough and took her back to the barn. She is very happy out there but when they are down like that. They are just like a big baby keeping you going 24 hours checking on them and etc..

I'm so proud to have saved her and she a heck of a fighter. I also thank god for giving me the strength to keep going when I was so tried I about couldn't.

I'm glad to hear that she's continuing to improve - it's so rewarding when your hard work pays off.

You did a great job, what a difference between day 3 & 4 and then on day 5, you can see the smile on her face. She is gorgeous and very lucky.
