Surprize baby!

On Halloween I went down to the barn to do my morning check and low and behold found a little surprize! My new goat Bella had a beutiful baby doeling who was up standing just as proud as can be next to mommy!! I didn't even know she was bred. I got Bella this summer from a friend of mine who's family situation had changed and she is a wonderful registered nubian who had been shown in 4H. My kids showed her at the fair this summer also and she did really well. Baby is colored just like mom and is doing really well. I will post a picture later on if I can.

My childern named her Mathilda since she was born on Halloween! She is so cute! Just had to share.

How fun! Those are the best surprises of all . I have a doe kid whom I named surprise due to her surprise entering of the world (mom had her and had her dried within a little less than a hour...no sounds what so ever...we say that her mom was trying to keep it a secret hence Surprise:-D) .

I can hardly wait for babys here . Pictures please?

Oh Emily how fun! Lol at being 2 months away I mean...I LOVE it when the does hit 3 months in their pregnency and you can start feeling and seeing kids move about in them I always love to guess at what the baby(s) will look like and what not and when they get to the point where you can fill kids I have gotten pretty good at figuring how many they will end up having .

You will have to post some pictures of the pregnent girls when they get close to bursting and when the kids are born . I love kidding season....lol

I start in feb. also....first out the gates are Ramsey then Brandy and then Ramsey's daughter Tidbit (10th, 11th, and 12th). Ramsey and Tidbit are Boer X's bred La Mancha and Brandy is a LaMancha/Oberhasli grade doe who is bred also La Mancha.

So some dairy and some boer...then after that the flood gates open wide . I am excited this year as I found out my camera can also do videos . Will be great during kidding season.
