Geez...... amazing the difference in speeds!!

Well tonight I had to wait FOREVER on my boy Hal to breed my doe Good. He bred her right off the bat once then it was like 15 mins or more and all he did was follow her around and do the normal male stuff and would even get up on her and the just let her walk off and he'd just drop onto the ground. Tom who is just about 6 months old would have had her bred about 5-7 times by then!! And Bruiser quicker than Hal (he's 1 1/2 by the way) but still not like Tom. Tom's like the energizer bunny or something!! HAHA!!

LOL I know what you mean . Toy will almost rape the girls (poor things) as is he so danged eager (he is 2 years old)! He knows how to get the job done! Vert (1 year old) well....he is a gentlemen and he takes FOREVER! First time he is pretty quick maybe 5 minutes of courtship? Next time could be 15-20 minutes and after that well it is anybodys guess.

Jack Jack just keeps trying till he gets er (he is a 10 month old nigerian the other two are La Manchas) and Diablo (2 year old Oberhasli) is about average (but sneaky).

They are all so different...lol this year one of my girls who was getting bred to Vert kept going like "Well??? You gunna do anything???" and present her butt to him and stuff he would just do his manly thing and NOT mount her . Goof ball....

I think you guys are spending waaaay too much time watching goats!

Just kidding! My Nigerian is a wham-bam, thank-you ma'am kinda buck, but my little Saanen buckling is still wide-eyed with wonder at it all and quite gentlemanly. Caz, the Nigie, will stick his head out over the partition, flap his tongue and blubber, then he'll bellow in the doe's face - very seductive.

Must be a Nigie thing. My Nigie buck acts absolutely idiotic and revolting. At first the girls were recoiling and saying "Ewwwwwww!"

But when they went into heat, somehow, they liked his approach.

To me, he sounds like Popeye, when he yells, "Whoa! Whoa! WHOOOOOOOOOA!"

ROTFLMAO! Yeah, that's exactly it! The noises they come out with - DH thinks he's hilarious. I told him not to get any ideas about seductive behaviour.

I like what my big Boer buck does just to have something to say. All his does are bred so he's bored. He walks up to the fence, sticks his nose as close to my face as he can get it and says"Woof!", just one woof and hes done.......they are a riot.
