New alpine doe's udder

My new alpine doe has a lopsided udder. When I got her it was lopsided and full of clear liquid from going dry. she had kidded in May. Well, I milked out both sides and infused a full tube of ToMorrow in each side. (just in case, though I dont' think she was mastitic) The smaller side from the start is looking good, teat has gotten smaller than before. The other side, however, looks almost exactly as it did after I milked her out. There is a round base of the udder, then a fat, unchanged teat. It's only been a week and a half, maybe it takes more time? I figure it's the ToMorrow filling it up, but the other side seems to be doing fine with shrinkage. It isn't hot or hard. it seems to be full of fluid. Would she benefit of me milking out that side again? Get the ToMorrow out and whatever else out, too? I think I"ve got some pictures of it if needed... Maybe they'd help, not sure.

I've not have goodluck w/ Today and Tomorrow....and sometimes they have aggravated the problem....
My one doe that milks only on one side freshens and swells like a balloon on the bad side (for 3 years now) and this past Spring I just left her alone on that side and she dried off that side and milked well on one side (still giving almost a quart 1x daily)...she is daughter to my alpine...nubian cross

Her teat on the bad side is large and not proper looking either and the liqiud that can be milked out is just as you describe not like milk.

I think there is an antibiotic preventative (starts with "L") for mastitis but not sure if it would help. I've also heard that the mastitis thats chronic is a sign of CAE? but I dont test and this goat is quite a healthy girl and the problem started when she kidded a single first time breech and I didnt catch the nursing on one side deal soon enough

Is the previous owner willing to talk about her history or do you think she would omit such a problem?

The old owner wasn't much of a goat person, woudlnt' know much about this. She loved her goats but didn't know hardly anything... Sad but true of many goat owners. I assume she didn't know that it was a problem. That was also this does' first kidding so no mastitis before that... I dont' think it's damaged, and I rather think that she didn't have mastitis in the first place, it was more of a preventative that I Put it in. I did treat mastitis easily with my other mini doe using ToMorrow. But the Mastitis caused scar tissue in the base of her teat, and caused the same result as your doe as well, she produces milk in both halves but it doesn't come out, so her left side just swells then dries up . I only let her raise one kid at a time, and she does fine.
