Such a nice feeling........

to walk out in the night with winds gusting, rain pouring down, and a cold chill creeping into your clothes and open the barn door, flip on the lights and look in to see your animals all looking at you as if you were so rude to have bothered them. All are dry and at peace and warm. It's just nice. Even the stinky big boys were all nice and happy. How wonderful it is........ I hope all your animals are warm and at peace like mine tonight on this nice chilly and gusty fall night. Sleep tight!

It's a wonderful feeling for sure. Of course, in the morning, they're not lying down peacefully, they're all screaming for breakfast. My Nigerian kids all sound like party screamers - won't need to buy any for New Year's Eve, just bring a couple of kids to the party! The wether twins holler in harmony and unison.

I always feel this way when I go out to do the chores on a snowy winter night, and all the livestock is bedded down snug and warm and secure in the barn. You'd never know the wind was howling and the snow blowing the way their just munching on hay or laying comfortably in their stalls.
Security like that is a feeling no amount of money could buy.

oh I wish it was that way tonight! Boy it is icky out! We have had rain all day and it is chilly. The goats aren't happy with it and I can't do a thing about it.

Thankfully rain doesn't last forever!

My two young goats don't care that much but my little queenie girl, Destiny, thinks it will melt her! So she retreats far in. Oh well we shall wait it out and then dry out. :-)

Glad to know others are having a more peaceful and lovely night.
