New Goats at HOme question
I galloped up to Grants Pass Oregon yesterday morning and picked up two fullblood boer yearlings. When I got 'em home I ivomeced, bo-se'd, covexined and trimmed them as I forgot to get their info from the lady and we met in a rest stop and it was raining, etc. etc. etc. Her farm is a reputable lamb place but they were her daughter's 4-H projects and the daughter had left for college. Anyhow, while the feet were fine, and their overall appearance was ok, they did have lice. My question is: will the ivomec +, admin'd at 1 cc/50# kill the lice? Should I ivomec them again in 10 days? I emailed the woman with the questions about vaccine schedule today but since I already treated, its a moot point. Right now they are isolated until their CAE/CL tests come back (she said all free but I 'm testing to be sure).
