Solar light - wanted to share

DH got a small solar light that we put in the chicken coop form notherntool.com for $40 and I'm going to get another one to put in front of the storage and pump area for our goats so I can see what I am doing now that the sun is leaving the sky earlier so I don't continue to trip over my own feet!

It sure saves the trouble of running electric for a couple small lights. He said it was really easy to install.

This sounds cool! I am going to check it out! Just wondering - how much light does it throw? It seems like the solar landscaping lights they sell at Kmart and places like that don't throw much light.

How very cool - I've been looking for a solar light for our coop. Does it throw quite a bit of light?

We estimated it's the equivalent (sP?) of a 20-40 watt light bulb. I can see everything in the coop, count chickens, dodge chicken poo! You know the important stuff.

Do you think it'll help keep the hens laying longer? or doesn't last long at night?

Yes, it is the middle one. I haven't tried it for laying yet. It comes with a battery that is suppose to store energy for 10 hours.
