Would it be alright to breed a saanen to a kinder?

We have been given a kinder(?) buck. Would it be okay to breed my saanen to him? Would they just be smaller than if I bred her to a bigger buck?

TIA
Amanda

Yes..it would be okay. They would probably be shorter and wider than your saanen. I breed my saanen girls to a boer and the kids are usually shorter and wider..but not always.

My girlfriend uses a kinder on her girls. She is into the meat business. She has some saanens in her herd too.

Good luck!

kinders will richen the milk on your Saanens, they will be a bit smaller all around with a chubby look,

there is no reason you COULDNT breed a kinder to a Saanen,

if thats the buck you have available then go for it.
