I detect a certain Clint Eastwood squint in a couple of those does - "go ahead, make my day."

She has a regal name, too. "SOCKS" if you can believe that...we let her keep her original name when we got her. She is definitely the queen, but doesn't get into too many run-ins.

MotherClucker - great photos. It sure does look like Brandy's doing some royal princess training with Willow.
And Idahoe, "Queen of Girth" is a very impressive royal title.
All hail the royal queens!

Our Queen is Queen Penny...I have to keep her seperated from Maisy, the Saanen, cos I have had to split up every fight they have ever had...I fear they would fight to the death....I have let them go and they have both been all bloody, that was the last time they were together.

This is 'evil tyrant' Daisy. All of her subjects are properly cowed. No other goat, except for her babies, are allowed to touch her. (and the buck when she's in heat.) Yesterday, another goat's kid jumped from the manger right on sleeping Daisy. She was offended and the baby quickly learned not to do so again.

Daisy looks very regal! I can almost picture the look she'd give any kid that had the nerve to jump onto Her Royal Majesty Queen Daisy.

'Lizbeth rules the pasture. NOBODY messes with her, not even our 1500lb draft cross. She does at times indulge the younguns in a game of jousting though.

Yep Brandy is my baby girl . I have often times thought that her yearling daughter Willow was Brandy when I see them out in the field. Willow looks almost identical to her mom in every way. Just a bit lighter colored and had a wider face blaze.
I swear Willow is Brandy's younger clone. Thing I love the most about having Brandy as queen doe is that she doesn't pick much on the new goats. She is pretty accepting but is very firm. Some herd does are just horrid . Brandy is one goat who will never ever be sold. She has a life long home here.

Amanda -
"Lisbeth sure does have quite a commanding look to her! I'd expect she can send a firm message with a stern look or by "doing ears" at her herd mates.
MotherClucker - Nice to see that Brandy has a lifelong home. She's smart to be training her daughter as her back up.
