WTB: a milking doe in Northern VT

I am need of a milker. This doe does not need to be registered or purebred, just healthy!

None of my three does that I took to be bred got pg. So I have no milk. We are milking our ND, but that does not produce nearly enough milk for our family. (It did prompt me to add 3 beautiful boys to my herd, though!)

We treat our goats very well. Most people who sell to us and visit our homestead are very pleased.

I just had the breeder that I bought my ND buckling from call me and offer to sell me the most perfect, blue-eyed chamoisee 6 month old doeling I have ever seen. She swore she would never sell this girl. She had a sudden financial need and called me to see if I was interested in this beautiful darling. I am, but I feel kind of bad about it, for her sake.

But even if I do buy her, I still need a good milker for my family.

If there is anyone within even a 3 hour drive of Derby, VT, or someone who would be willing to meet me 3 hours or so from where I live, please respond or PM me?

Thanks!

Jillis do you ever but Uncle Henry's swap and sell? Its online too w/ free one month membership I think.

You might find something or advertise in it (when you buy it it has a free ad form)

I have plenty of extra ad forms if you pm your info (30 words or less w/ phone etc) to me I will drop an ad in the mail for you...

I wont have any extra milkers till Spring....as you know I have one of pyrnad's for milk/breeding to registered Nubian buck.

Let me know if I can help.
