I'm all sad now.

I just sold my bottle baby buckling. To a great couple, I know... They really want the best they can possibly give to thier goats... But I still will miss the lil bugger. This is my first baby leaving my farm. They are going to use my bucks for breeding this year. They've got a silver agouti doe and a chocholate and white paint. They're gonna give me first pick of kids next year, and I'm hoping the chocolate will produce a chocolate, and the silver agouti will produce a silver agouti, lol. We're gonna swap babies next year.
His sister was screaming her head off, and just quieted down. I'm going to move her closer to the rest of the herd tomorrow, so she's not so alone anymore.
These people are GREAT. Couldn't ask for better. I'm still gonna miss him and I'm still gonna remember that little 'rocketbutt' forever. My first baby sold. But it's not like I'll never see him again, I'm breeding him to his mother this year most likely. They live 2 hours away, but It's worth it, we both agreed.

Here's a pic of the baby and I :

Glad to hear that at least you'll get to see him, and that he's going to a great couple. Are you keeping Daisy's girls? Good Luck. BYe.

The first one I sold, I nearly cried my eyes out. He was screaming Momma (I swear it sounded like momma) and she was screaming My Baby, My Baby. She was mad a me for days and would not look at me or talk to me. When I offered her, her favorite treat on the milking stand, she wouldn't take it from me, but would from my then DH or my DD. Your baby sure is cute.

We don't breed and have never sold one.

But we HAVE brought home screaming little baby kids who missed their mommies. Usually they settle down well within 24 hours, but the drive home with them is always heartbreaking.

It does sound like they are screaming "Momma". Its awful.

yes, I've got both of daisy's girls... thier colors were just to good to give up!
His sister was bottlefed with him, and now she's all alone. She's hollered herself hoarse, but she's in a pen right next to the rest of the girl herd so she's not completely alone anymore. It wouldn't be so hard if he wasn't a bottle baby, dadgummit.

So Daisy got to keep one of her doelings on her, and the other two were bottle babies, right? Daisy sure jumped from twins to quads, she did good. Good luck with your girls. Bye.
