sores on does tail

Ok I have a doe with a 7 week old doeling at side that got sores on her tail when she kidded. I thought it was due to the discharge and put some antiseptic spray on it for a week or so and it cleared up but now has returned. She doesnt have a temp but does have a clear runny nose but so does everyone else in the barn. It has been very hot and humid for a week now. Here is a pic. Does anyone have any clues as to what this could be?
last time it started just like this and within days the sores were open and raw like the one on the top of her tail. Her doeling has no problems and hasnt ever.

Is it possible that this is a herpes virus? Do goats get "cold sores" from the stress of kidding?

So do you have to treat all the animals? What about the bedding? People who have had contact?

Well from what I have read it didnt say anything about treating anyting but the goats, but all the goats have to be treated and our dogs can't even get near them so that is not a concern. I didnt think to ask the vet about bedding but you know our barn is wood our bedding is wood so I dont know what I would do there except I have to treat for 3 weeks cause they can live 3 weeks without a host. Is there anyone on here who has had this type Chorioptic mange mites with any of their animals.

You might like to read this. http://www.merckvetmanual.com/mvm/htm/bc/72002.htm
I personally am more inclined to think this is a staph infection and would treat as such

I would think that mange mites would be found by combing with a close toothed comb similar to what is used for those mites that sometimes cause problems in schools. Finding one would give a much more confident diagnosis.

That looks like staph to me. Clean it off with either bleach water or Nolvasan daily.

Really, from what I am reading they are microscopic. They also do not burrow in the skin they stay on the skin surface. I just might do a skin scrape myself. I have a microscope and do my own fecals.

I am going to treat for staph also cause it could very well be that as well. I do know the tail is painfull but when i got a buckling from this farm back early spring he came with what I thought was lice though I saw no nits. I treated for that a few weeks in a row. Now that I have gotten some more goats from them a month ago one of them has some hair missing around her hooves with some crusty stuff that comes back when you clean it off. The buckling I thought had lice now has a small spot on his testicles that is crusty. They are having some health problems and I don't think they have the ability to do the proper cleaning right now. They havent even cleaned out the build up of bedding they had during the winter. I am really concerned and want to treat this agressivly. Can you tell everyone got a good once over yesterday. I made up a tea tree oil mix to put on all the spots and have ordered some DE to sprinkle in the stall and on the sleeping benches. I am also going to dust the goats with this. Any other advise is welcome. Oh and now my herd is closed and I will be getting no more goats.
Thanks

You are right they wouldn't get caught in a combing.

Here's a link for sarcoptic mange in dogs. It says that it's hard to get a good skin scraping.

goatmarm yes I have encounterd soremouth years ago when I first started and wondered about that but I am sure it is not that. In a way I wish it were as it is a virus and once they all had it the fuss was over but with bugs yuck. The little bucklings testicles were scab free last night but this morning it looks just like it did before I treated him. I guess the mites were busy last night. Poor guy! Katies tail looked great this morning no inflamation at all. She still didnt want me touching it. But I had to put the tea tree oil on it. I did notice that the goats stomp there feet and bite at their feet. I sure hope all this clears up. I am closing my herd completly. I have 2 bucks and 6 does and want to get them cleaned up and happy before I do any breeding. I know that there will be other things to worry about but it just seem that when I bring one in something goes around. Kinda like daycare LOL. I had enough DE to dust the girls sleeping bench and hope what I ordered comes in fast. I just wonder if I should call the breeder I got these from and let them know Faith didnt have foot fungus she had mange mites? But you know somehow I think they knew that..
