Togg question

I have a single Togg wether in with my Alpines. He's maybe 4 months old. Every day it looks like he's ready to bloat and pop. When I pat his side it even sounds a bit tight compared to the other goats. Yet he seems fine, eats a lot, plays a lot and doesn't seem to notice. He's losing his baby fur so his stomach is getting more visible and last night each side looked like a large bubble, the kind you'd get when squeezing a balloon.

They get unlimited forage, free choice baking soda and free choice goat minerals along with some corn and oats each night after the evening browse.

Is this common for Toggs?

Well since he is up and active and eating and drinking and pooping and peeing just fine, I would say he just has a big barrel. I had a big Nubian with a huge barrel and had folks stop to tell me she was bloated!!
I told then she was fine and just looked like that 24/7. My guess is that you have the same thing going on with you Togg. Too bad he is not a doe.

Thanks. Whatever it is it seems "normal" to him.

One of the smallest Alpines has been getting a small bubble on his upper left lately. It comes and goes. He is just starting to aggressively eat like the others so I'm assuming he just needs to stretch out his stomach a bit.
