Question Poly Domes for shelter?

Howdy, I've been off list for a while. Over 4th of July, I brought home my gorgeous handsome sweet-as-pie boer buckling and am in the process of fencing my pasture for buck, adult stock, and youngsters. I saw a piece about people using polydomes for alpaca shelters and wondered if anyone out there had tried it for goats? They are normally used as dairy calf shelters, are 86" by 60" high or 72" by 60" high. I would love to buy three but can probably swing two for right now. Any advice out there? My buck is going to be BIG (at 4 months and one week old he is topping 97 pounds) but the shelters looked big enough.

I'm using 5 of them right now. I love them. Got a great deal on them used too.

We have two of them and use ones manufactured by Loyal/Roth in Wisconsin. http://www.loyal-roth.com/

We started with the Poly Jumbo Hutch for two goats, and it was roomy enough to overwinter 2 adults and 4 juveniles. Then we got the Poly Group Hutch (that we call Poly Humongo Hutch) and have plastic flap doors on that. We currently have 6 adult goats, 2 yearling goats and a year old calf in there. They all sleep together in the big one but the smaller one is nearby if they want go in there as well.

We are now looking to see if we can take the back wall off the big hutch and slide the smaller one into the open space, close off any draft openings, and use the two together as a two room hutch so everyone can continue to hang out together as the calf grows.

If that's not feasible we will probably rig up a porch area for Humongo hutch.

I love them. Shipping from Wisconsin was pricey, but worth it for a good hutch with 10 year warranty.
