Lumpy pregnant udder
I'm the one with the yearling nubian who apparently got pregnant almost right after we got her and her udder is full already. She will kid november-december. She was bred by my boer buck. This is her and my first freshening <wink>, but I have milked a different doe before
Well the udder is still big and I have been assured by some folks here that I just will have a great producer. I routinely check her out to see how things are with the udder as it just is so big it freaks me out.
It's a little lumpy and very hard. Like how my doe would get if I had waited to long to milk her. Is that normal? Though I hardly think bagging up this early is normal so I don't know what "normal" is?
She seems to be dandy. Just doing what goats do, eating running. There are not hot spots on the udder or teats. I'm wondering if I should try to milk her to lessen the pressure? Maybe I'm just freaked because I know from presonal experience what it's like to be so full of milk you are rock hard!
So milk, or not?
