I don't know what to think about the snipping off. At that time what I knew about goats would fill a teacup and the friend I have that knows animals told me to do it.
My ND doeling, that is SUCH an excellant goat, she also sprouted some ancillary teats. I decided to leave them, as they grew several months after she was born and are tiny.
BTW, I'm still waiting for babies. She and her sister, who get along very well, are enjoying the life of O'Reilly as they loll about in the spacious kidding stall, getting fed alfalfa pellets with no competition (they share nicely with each other!) and getting special treats and tidbits. They are both really due, maybe getting overdue. Sure hope they pop them out soon.
