Sulpher block

I was reading an old email (sorting through my box and cleaning it out) and I saw where someone said they put a sulpher block in their goat pen for her goats and I was wondering who else does this and is it safe while milking them (for consumption).

Thanks all!!!

Hi Joy,
Some "old goat expert" came and bought some Nubian kids from me this spring, and he told me that goats can develop liver problems from the sulfur.
Talk about Bursting my Bubble!!
DARN IT>
We have so many stinkin ticks around here and I was thrilled that the sulfur block was really helping keep them off the goats.
OF COURSE, I should do my own research and come to my own conclusion.... LOL
But, I just thought I would tell you that and see if anyone else has heard that too.
Take care -
Rachel

Hello, I do have a sulfer block in with my goats. I have it for the horse and the goats take a lick every now and then. Not really much at all.
