Need advice again...

We had 2 kids this year (our first). Sunday we went and had them disbudded. They were 2 weeks old. The doeling I noticed today is oozing a little on one side. Not a lot, just a little damp. What can I put on it and is she OK? The guy that did it raises Pygmies and Boars, he didn't say I was supposed to do anything more. Should I have been putting something on them all along?
Thanks...Lorrie

If she is oozing she may not have been thouroughly cauterized. You could try spraying Furazone or BluKote or some other antibiotic spray on it (cover her eyes) just to avoid risk of infection. Keep an eye on it to make sure it does not get infected. We spray Furazone on freshly disbudded heads but have not had to repeat treatments. I would also watch for scurs on this doeling.

It's not unusual for it to ooze a little. If they get bumped or they butt something, it can loosen the scab. We just spray some bluecote on when it happens.

Thanks so much, I was worried. It's just a little clear stuff, nothing infected I don't think.
Thanks again...Lorrie
