Thumbs up One of my does thinks

Here is the story to make it easier to understand this topic.

We had just gotten 2 little puppies about a month with my milking doe. Well the little puppies are I guessing only month old or just a little older. Well they have started to sleep with the goats of mine and I have this one doe that has never had a baby she got to loving the puppies. Well this morn my DH woke me up saying Honey I think one of the goats is under the house because he could hear all kinds of banging up next to the house. I got up and got dressed and when we open the door we can hear a puppy just a whining and whining. I walked out to see if all the goats are there because of all the banging agaist the house and they all were there but the one doe was up against the house just a pawing the ground and yelling every time the puppy would whine my doe would paw the ground and look at me and baaa at me. I went on the other side of the house and finally got the puppy out. I took the puppy to the doe and now she is as happy as can be and they both went into their goat house and layed down. I being to think she thinks that the puppy is her baby because it sleeps right next to her at night. It is so sweet to see she is like that because later when I do breed her I know she be a great mother due to loving this puppy like this.

I love my goats and so proud to know one is so loving like this.

That is so sweet! Just wondering..... are the puppies going to be raised as guardians? If so, this start with the goats so young should make them fantastic guardians.

Our beloved toy poodle Sunshine, had never had a litter. Each of her sister's had had litters and she always loved the pups. We got two kittens that a child was giving away in front of Wal-Mart. They said the kittens were six weeks old, but I think they were more like 4 weeks. Sunny, took to them right away. SHe picked them up and carried them around, groomed them, slept with them and fussed over them. She even "nursed" them, but she didn't have milk. She was very protective of her kitty babies. It was so cute. Take some pics of your goat and puppies. I'd love to see them. Or take some video and send it in to one of the funniest animal video shows.

I had a bottle baby last year (first and only one so far). My Aussi dog took her and was a great baby sitter for her. When I brought her into the house I was a little worried, Well the dog took her and would not let anyother dogs near her, matter of fact when people came to see the baby, Swatch the dog was right there with her. He would let you know it if you tried to mess with her. We had her in a (old style) play pen at night, swatch would jump in with her and snuggle with her every night. He was forsure her angel. Now that she is bigger they still sunggle together. Swatch was also the baby sitter for the kittens we just had. When he came in the room with them the mother cat would leave, it was like she knew he would take good care of them. This is the same dog that 4 years ago would kill any cat or goat that he could. I guess him getting hit by the car might of knocked some sence into him.
