Ugg, I feel horrible. LONG (pictures)

I'm leaving for China in 15 days, with the People to People Student Ambassador Program.
But my doe, Boston, is also due in exactly 15 days. The 5th.
Both my pregnant does, Boston and Daisy, will be staying with an experienced goat friend of mine, Jessica. She worries just as bad as me so I know she will feel free to call the vet if needed. We also have the same vet. I'm taking over most of my goat supplies as I have WAY more than she does. She used to raise fainters but after she found out they had spur teats, she fixed all her boys, now she's working towards getting into nubians...
Anywho, she knows what she's doing, but I do most of my stuff different than her. My does are used to 24/7 grazing, no hay, and free wandering. They'll probably be in stalls and outside in small pens the entire 18 days I'm in China.
Anywho, I didn't sleep this night at all worrying. This is Boston's first kidding and there are sooooo many things that can go wrong...
And Daisy does have two duedates as well. She's due either july 5th too or august 2nd. I can't decide witch. She's bigger than boston but has no udder development... Then again she did have mastitis bad on one side last year causing no serious udder development... but then again it was only on one side, so even if one side was destroyed, the other would have developed by now if she was due soon..... LOL in other words, I think she's due in August still. I'll be back before she kids, hopefully.
*sigh* Most of that probably doesn't make sence to anyone, but I'm terribly scared for them. Horribly. My hands are shaking. I didn't get any sleep last night and it's 6:15 right now. I'm not worried about flying around the globe or meeting prominant people in china's society... NO, I'm worried about my kids having kids... Being a grandma again, lol.
I'll be bawling my eyes out today, I'm going to jessica's house to set up some pens out there. And I'll be crying again next weekend when me and both girls go to visit for the weekend so they get a little bit used to it...
And I'll probably cry on and off the entire plane ride. I have to teach Jessica how to work her mom's camera and how to use her hotmail adress that I got her so she can send me pictures of my new grandkids when they arrive.

I think I'll post some pictures of my xtra wide goats so people can guess how many and what each will have. My guess is that Boston will single with a buckling, and Daisy will twin with boy/girl. (she twinned last year with twin does) I'm not even gunna try to guess color, because last year daisy handed me a dark caramel with recessive black and a SUNDGAU AGOUTI... Pygmy goats don't come in sundgau... ever... But then again thier mother's coloration pattern doesn't exist either. so I'm not gunna try to guess kid color, just gunna leave it up to them. Pretty darn sure they'll be cute as heck no matter what color they are.

Well, the first pics are of Boston's waistline. She's a light caramel with dark brown markings, for the record. (sorry bout the butt-shot, lol.)

These are a couple of shots of Daisy's baby-belly. Daisy is white with a black dorsal stripe and a light caramel crown spot, no other color.

This is Daisy's doeling from last year (kidded on August 2nd last year.) dark caramel with BLACK markings, first born. The second pic is the weirdo. Black and white sundgau AGOUTI. Weird, huh? But she does have the perfect sundgau markings, even the white butt mark which you can't see in this pic.

And here's the father of all these kids, born and unborn as of yet. He's black with white mottling on the nose and ears, and a couple white hairs in his coat... Maybe just enough to make him an agouti, haven't decided yet...

Hey Mygoat,

You're going to have to "let go" a little and enjoy that China trip! It's the opportunity of a lifetime and you'll sure regret it if you spend all your time there worrying about here. You'll come back, your goats will be JUST FINE, and you'll wish you'd let yourself ENJOY the trip more. You have a knowledgable friend, an available vet, and your goats will spend a couple weeks at "camp" and will be just fine. All of you will be homesick for a few days, but you'll adjust.

Your goats are really pretty and look very well cared for. Love your buck.

I agree! Let go and enjoy the trip. When will you have another one like it?
Last year I was out in the goat pen late at night delivering kids right after I had surgery myself and should have been in bed. Guess what? This year the goats did it without me and did just fine! I'm sure your friend will do everything she can to make sure everything turns out fine. I say trust her and have a good time.

The goats are lovely. No, I wouldn't make any guesses. I have some fatty Nubians who look as big when they are not bred. lol. My fattest goats are not necessarily the ones with the most kids.

Go to China. Enjoy the trip, your goaties will miss you too, but they will be so excited to see you come home. Take a break from your kids and explore the outside world a little. Your trusted friend will take real good care of them. No worries. You'll have so much to talk about.
