Feet problems

Ok my parents had goats and didnt trim their feet for about 8 months. About 6months ago I mentioned they needed their feet trimmed well then about 3 months ago they got lame on the front feet, they thought they just cought it in the fence or something well so now I am trying to trim it back to get it back into shape but the one keeps getting worse, I know I am not trimming it back that far to make the lameness worse and I dont see any redness in them, the only thing I can tell you guys is that the inside part there is like no solid hoof, if that makes any sense, I will try to get pictures. It started on the front and now it seems to have gone to the back to wear he doesnt want to get up on the back either but he will get up and run around and bully the other small ones but wont stay up long. Any ideas?

Pics would definetely help, I dont' know what you mean about a 'hollow hoof' but it sounds to me like hoof rot possibly and you may need to trim more back...

It does sound like hoof rot to me and you have to trim it way back. When I get minor versions of this I also do a bleach bath every day on the hooves. This might require something like Kopertox. Is there any foul odor? When people let hooves go this long without trimming this type of stuff happens and you end up with a lame goat. This is entirely preventable with timely trims.

Thank you guys I am trying to trim them every 2 weeks and definatly checking them every week, I trim back to the pink part but dont want to trim back much farther for fear that I would make them more lame. There is no foul smell or anything, it looks like a healthy hoof other than between the toes there is no hoof wall. I am trating them anyway for hoof rot, will that hurt them? Thank you everyone. Is there anything else I need to look for?
