homemade surge milker

has anyone ever made a surge milker vacuum pump. i want a surge milker but that pump is so expensive!!! trying to brainstorm and figure out the pump. i have an old air compressor and was thinking about running an automotive style vacuum pump and a regulator. anyone done this?

you will need a tank to hold a vacuum.. i have seen old propane tanks used.

you also might want to look at a medical vacuum pump

I do not have a converted vacuum pump, I use a Dayton vacuum pump. So please don't ask me how to make one of these. I have no clue, I just have the links incase someone is interested.

We use a surge milker with an old air compressor that has a tank on it for the vacuum source. It works very well. If you have specific question you can e-mail me and I will ask my husband how he rigged it up to work.
