We have kids finally!!!

Well my chocolate pygmy doe finally had her kids last night at about 8:15 pm.She gave us beautiful triplets 2 bucks and 1 doe. The first buck is a jet black buck with no white on him and the 2nd buck is a medium carmel with toggles and the doeling is the most unique doe I have seen for a purebred pygmy,She is black on her front half and white on her rear half with a black dot on each side of her rear half.

The buck that I used was a light carmel that has black points and he also has toggles and is naturally polled. So I will be ananxiously waiting to see if any kids will develop horns or not.

I will try and post some pictures later.

That doe sounds like she has that alpine coloring!! Is she an unregistered goat? I find that unregistered pygmies have alot more variences in color, which is why I like them so much My doe had a blk and wht agouti sundgau!! Can't wait too see your doeling!!

Ps... What do you mean by toggles? lol

I was wondering that too, LOL! I suspect she meant wattles!

Congratulations on the babies -- they sound really pretty!

Beautiful babies and it was a joy to watch (although a little nerve racking) thanks for letting me be a part of things. I hope to return the favor when Rosie gets moving. Day 151 and nothing happening yet although her ligaments are mostly gone.

I took some pics, I just have to resize them..So maybe tomorrow I will get them posted.

As far as the toggles or wattles, they are the same.I have heard them called both so I didn't know which one was the proper term for them.

Trish, no problem I was very suprised too see triplets and am still amazed by it.I am off to bed early tonight....

CONGRATS on all of the babies! Are you keeping any of them? The girl sounds BEAUTIFUL! I too am curious as to whther or not they are 100% pygmy, if not the coloring could be caused by another breed. Good Luck with them. Bye.

Here is the picture.

As far as I know they are out of registered goats.I could of recieved their papers for more money but chose not too, as I would not re coup the money when I sold the kids.We live in dairy goat country and most people that buy pygmies in my area are more then likely buying for pets and they don't want to spend an arm and leg for a pet goat.Plus we do not have any local shows where you can show them either, not even the 4-H kids, so with my pygmies their just is not a good market here for registered ones so I paid alot less for my goats.

But none of the less here is a picture and we think we may keep the doe as she is just beautiful.

As far as I can see, the doelings butt kinda looks like a piece symbol from this angle. I think that she is a keeper as well, she is SO CUTE! Good Luck with them. Bye.
