Here's one link of stuff that is poisonous to sheep, which are kinda like goats and blue cohosh was on it. Sheep basics Toxic Plant list

Here's one that has stuff that can cause abortion during a pregnacy. http://www.homesteadingtoday.com/sho...t=black+cohosh

Good Luck. BYe.

If it's not one thing, it's another. The new baby (well, Nov. 4) didn't decend until last month & was still a little on the small side. Sooooo, he was castrated last week. But my son said he noticed him practicing on Gramma, Uncle & Mom. I know they "could" be pregnant, vet won't lute, says he's too young to be any good. Well, we all know what that means.

Anywho, I was told Black Cohosh will bring them out of season (really, I don't think mom was in) and make any pregnancy null. I really don't want her to have any more babies & now we have no more bucks. After the last time, I don't want a repeat.

Thanks GoatFreak

The vet won't sell you lute? Can you find a new vet?

I don't know about cohash for goats, but I know it will cause contractions in human women. Not much help. Sorry.
