i shaved my goat lol

I decided to shave my goat because she is really furry and I just couldn't tell well as to where she was sunken in. I figured she would feel better without the 2 1/2 inches of hair so I shaved her back part and just kept shaving though I didn't do her head or below her knees. She looks hilarious! But now I can see the udders really well and I can tell where the ligaments are supposed to be and I do believe I have found them but they seem to only be on the right side? I THINK maybe there was something on the left but it seemed easier to find on the right... shaving really helped

But I noticed that she has a lot of lice and maybe mites? the lice I know is a whitish off white type color.. and then I found something else that was a bit bigger and they had some black to them. What are those? Can I get rid of the lice and whatever the other thing is? or are they harmless?

Get some lice powder and treat her. She will be much more comfortable without all the nasty crawly things on her. Regular lice powder will more than likely take care of everything you see...mites are very tiny and hard to see with the naked eye. More than likely it's lice.

youre gonna have me itching all night long thinking about those little bugs! Anyway, be careful about yourself also so that you don't bring them inside with you or they transfer to your other animals.

All lice is species specific....human lice only lives on humans....bird lice on birds.... and goat lice on goaties...and so on and so forth. Just thought I would share that info.
