Anybody use StayTite-Goat Tuff fence

Wondering if anybody out there has used Goat Tuff 1348-12 fence? Have you had good luck with it? Will I still need a hot wire around the inside? How far off of the ground should the hot wire be? Any replies would be great.
Thanks Paul

Never heard of that type of fencing. Where have you seen it? We are currently using 4 strands of electric fencing for our goats. It went up quickly, and so far no problems w/it.

One of the contractors i've been talking to use's it. Its a high tensile woven wire. Seems to be a good fence.

Sta Tite

I used the sta-tite horse fence which is the 3" spacing 6 feet high, high tensile fencing. It is a little tricky to instal, but last 25 years +.... You have to have good post corners with bracing, wrap the wire around the posts at either end, then stretch towards the middle and join in the middle with the splicers. There is a good alternative. The Red fence which is woven wire does just as well with a barbed wire at the bottom to prevent pushing on the wire. You run a strand of barbed wire about 1 " from the ground all the way around. Then you run the woven wire with the bottom of the wire on top of the barbed wire. It is half the price We did 5 acres and 3000.00 for high tensile versus 1200.00 for the red wire woven wire. HOWEVER!!!!!!
My goats still got out. They can stretch and push and get under anything. I have to hotwire about 3" from the ground. I only have 1 problem nanny she is part pygmy part nigerian dwarf, and a pet/ pain in the butte. But we love her and the hot wire keeps her from teaching the babies her BBBBAAAADDD habits!!! Hope this helps. Theresa
